Adelaide is well known for its brilliant restaurants in its beautiful CBD such as, Georges, Eleven, Osteria, Oggi, and Enoteca. It’s hard to know where to start, luckily, we are here to point you in the direction of Adelaide’s best. Whether you’re a golf lover, or simply in need of a good feed, here’s a list of our top picks to try during the weekend!

FUGAZZI

When recommending restaurants to try in Adelaide’s CBD, it is hard to ignore Fugazzi. Named the ‘Best Pasta in South Australia,’ Fugazzi Bar & Dining Room on Leigh Street is a go-to spot for anyone visiting the CBD.  

Fugazzi is known for being a celebrity hotspot in Adelaide. Most recently, Happy Days superstar and TV icon Henry ‘The Fonz’ Winkler was spotted for lunch at the Italian restaurant owned by MasterChef’s Laura Sharrad and husband Max. Winkler loved his food so much that he shared it with his one million plus followers on X (formerly Twitter) – ‘FOOD TIP: Adelaide, Australia : FUGAZZI .. everything was fantastic !!’ The restaurant has become a favourite for many celebs, including English food writer and television cook Nigela Lawson and Guns N’ Roses’ lead vocalist Axl Rose. 2KW BAR AND RESTAURANT

Situated on the rooftop of one of the most historically significant buildings in Adelaide’s CBD, the 2KW Bar and Restaurant is perfect for a cocktail and a shared meal. Executive chef, Sam Christophers expertly curated menu showcases the finest locally sourced produce from across the state.

AFRICOLA

The South African BBQ restaurant is another one of Adelaide’s celebrity hotspots. Celebrities come from far and wide to try Africola’s Chef Duncan Welgemoed’s acclaimed food. Being favourites from the likes of comedian Eric Andre, Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman, tennis-giant Novak Djokovic, and music industry icons Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) and Katy Perry. When the Foo Fighters visited Adelaide, Africola was too full, leading Adelaide’s Culinary Wizard to take the rock legends for an exclusive dinner at The Exeter, ensuring they didn’t miss out on Welgemoed’s famous dishes.

BREAD & BONE

At the end of the day, you cannot go wrong with old fashioned burger. When looking for burgers in Adelaide’s CBD you are spoiled for choices, but we must recommend Bread & Bone. 

Bread and Bone was voted in 2023 as ‘South Australia’s best burger‘.
