Adelaide is in for one seriously wild Halloween, with some of the biggest names in international professional wrestling set to descend on the city for one night only.
World Series Wrestling will return to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday, October 31st, as part of its massive MEGA MANIA tour, bringing two countries, five cities and five nights of jam-packed wrestling action to Australia and New Zealand.
After a sold-out Australian tour earlier this year, the series is returning to Adelaide with an all-ages show featuring wrestling stars from WWE, AEW, TNA, Japan and beyond.
Headlining the Adelaide event will be current WSW World Champion Killer Kross with his wife and manager Scarlett Bordeaux.
The international line-up also includes former WWE and UFC star Shayna Baszler, Andrade El Idolo, Sammy Guevara, former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Inspiration, Australia’s Buddy Matthews, AEW star Brian Cage, Japanese icons Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI, and current WSW Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers.
For anyone who doesn’t consider themselves a die-hard wrestling fan, the show will be just as much about the spectacle as it is the matches.
“It’s just over-the-top entertainment, suitable for the whole family,” shared World Series Wrestling promoter Adrian Manera.
The Adelaide show will feature seven matches, with the action designed to be family-friendly. And while the performers might be world-class athletes, it’s the atmosphere inside the venue that can be just as entertaining.
“The crowd chants along. It’s almost like an English soccer game, but with these larger than life athletes doing backflips off the top rope and body-slamming each other,” said Adrian. “It’s a wild ride of entertainment for two and a half hours.”
The upcoming tour will also be the first time World Series Wrestling has taken its MEGA MANIA tour overseas, with the promotion travelling from Auckland to Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney across five consecutive nights.
For the Adelaide leg, the timing couldn’t be more fitting, with the show landing on Halloween. Plus, this time around, the venue has been restructured to accommodate an even bigger crowd, meaning more people can get in on the action.
For Adrian, who has been involved in wrestling promotion as a side hustle for around 20 years, the growing crowds are a major part of what keeps the show exciting.
You may know him from Haggleco Home + Furniture, which he sold last year, but now as he steps into retirement, he’s found more and more time to devote to building Australia’s largest international pro wrestling touring company.
“I love seeing the fans’ reactions, to be honest,” he said. “It takes months putting together this highly choreographed multi-city tour, and seeing it all play out live in front of thousands of fans, it’s incredible!”
