Australian music icons ICEHOUSE announce first headline indoor tour in 20 years with Adelaide date

Australian music icons ICEHOUSE are returning to Adelaide for a special arena concert celebrating 40 years of Man of Colours, performing the landmark album in full for the first time.

One of Australia’s most iconic bands is returning to Adelaide for a major arena show, with ICEHOUSE announcing a national tour celebrating 40 years of its landmark album Man of Colours.

The band will take over the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday, July 3, 2027, as part of its first headline indoor concert tour in more than 20 years.

And this won’t be a standard greatest hits show.

For the first time, ICEHOUSE will perform Man of Colours in its entirety, including several tracks the band has never previously played live.

Released in September 1987, Man of Colours became one of the defining Australian albums of its era, spending 11 weeks at number one on the Australian charts and selling more than one million copies.

The album produced some of ICEHOUSE’s biggest songs, including Crazy, Electric Blue, My Obsession, Nothing Too Serious and the title track, Man of Colours.

Frontman Iva Davies said the anniversary shows would include plenty of firsts for both the band and its fans.

“The band and I are excited to be celebrating the Man of Colours anniversary with you all. We’ve never played some of the songs from the album so this tour is going to include some firsts for us as well as our fans,” Iva said.

Alongside the complete album, fans can expect a stack of ICEHOUSE favourites from across the band’s 45-plus-year career, including Great Southern Land, Hey Little Girl, No Promises, Don’t Believe Anymore, Love In Motion and We Can Get Together.

The Adelaide stop also brings the story of Man of Colours back to a city with a remarkable place in the album’s touring history.

“These seated, indoor shows are going to be different for the band and the audiences too,” Iva said.

“Compared to the big outdoor shows we’ve mainly been playing over the past 15 years, indoors means we get to play more songs and create an even bigger show for us all.”

ICEHOUSE’s national tour begins in Newcastle on June 5 before visiting Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, then finishing in Perth on July 10.

Special guests are still to be announced.

Tickets go on general sale at 11am on Friday, September 18, with fan club and PayPal presales beginning at 11am on Wednesday, September 16. A selection of $99.90 tickets will also be available throughout each arena.
