When renovating a home, tackling the bathroom is often one of the most daunting and stressful projects homeowners take on, involving multiple trades, competing schedules and countless decisions. But Adelaide-based ABA Trades is aiming to change that with the launch of a dedicated bathroom renovations division designed to streamline the entire process.
The South Australian company, which already provides plumbing, electrical, roofing, heating and cooling services, has expanded into full bathroom renovations with a focus on keeping everything under one roof.
ABA Trades founder Paul Chaina says the decision to expand into a dedicated bathroom renovations division was largely driven by his customers. “Over the years, many of our customers continued to ask whether we could help with bathroom renovations, especially because they already trusted us with their plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, roofing and general trade work.
“We saw an opportunity to make the renovation process easier by offering a true one-stop-shop solution. Rather than sending customers elsewhere or saying no to extra work, we decided to bring bathroom renovations under the ABA Trades umbrella and build a dedicated division around it,” he shared.

The new division will provide customers with a renovation experience that removes much of the complexity homeowners traditionally face. Rather than coordinating multiple contractors and subcontractors, customers work with a single company and a dedicated project manager throughout the process.
“The biggest benefit is communication, coordination and accountability,” said Paul. “With a traditional renovation model, customers may be dealing with a builder, multiple subcontractors and several different points of contact. That can create delays, miscommunication and frustration.
“At ABA Trades, most of the work is managed and completed by our in-house team. On the rare occasion that we engage a subcontractor, they are carefully coordinated through our internal process so the customer still has one clear point of contact.”
One of the most exciting features is the company’s use of 3D imaging technology, allowing homeowners to visualise their new bathroom before construction begins. The process starts with detailed measurements and discussions around layout, fixtures and finishes before a digital model is created.
“This is valuable because it gives customers more confidence before signing off on the design. It allows them to see the layout, make changes early and feel more comfortable with the final direction before the renovation starts.”

The company is also offering a free mobile bathroom for temporary use with every bathroom renovation, helping homeowners maintain day-to-day convenience while construction is underway. Plus, Paul says many of their projects can be completed in approximately four weeks, depending on product availability and custom selections.
“The reason we can work to this timeframe is because of our internal project management and access to a broad range of trades through ABA Trades,” said Paul. “Most of the work is managed and completed by our in-house team, which gives us far greater control over scheduling, communication and the sequence of work.”
Since January, ABA Trades has completed more than 40 bathroom renovations and is currently delivering around 11 projects each month. They also cater to a wide range of budgets and offer payment plans, making bathroom upgrades more accessible for South Australian homeowners.
So if you’re a homeowner considering a renovation, with their combination of in-house trades, dedicated project management and upfront visualisation tools, ABA Trades is offering a simpler and more transparent path to achieving your dream bathroom.
