If you’re a fan of Lululemon (which is practically all of us) you’ll be excited to find out there’s a new mega store opening in Rundle Mall in just 7 days.
The store that’s already in Rundle Mall will be relocating only meters away and increasing in size to become their biggest store in South Australia yet.
Situated just outside of Rundle Place, the store will feature 9 roomy changing rooms and their signature ranges.
It’s not long since their third store opened at end of last year in SA’s largest shopping centre, Westfield Marion. They also have a store at Burnside.
The 381sqm store will stock all the men and women’s products, including the core On The Move, Yoga, Run and Train ranges as well as the new ‘Play’ category, which currently includes new products for golf, tennis and hiking.
The Canadian multinational retailer was founded in 1998 and has developed a reputation for its leggings, yoga pants (a product that the brand allegedly created), yoga mats, and various accessories.
Lululemon athletica first entered the Australian market in 2004 and now boasts over 30 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
While the history of yoga can trace its origins back 5,000 years to the Indus-Sarasvati civilization in Northern India, the humble yoga pant is a sprightly 24 years young.
Initially made of a mix of nylon and lycra, yoga pants have evolved into everyday clothing, hence the birth of the term “athleisure”.
Fast-forward to today and the multi-billion dollar empire has set its sights on doubling its 2021 revenue of $6.25 billion to $12.5 billion by 2026.
On top of its retail stores and online presence, Lululemon has also unveiled ‘Lululemon Studio’ – a new service connecting members to the most dynamic fitness content, community and products – at home, in person and on the go.
The platform builds upon more than 10,000 on demand and live-streamed classes that have been available with a MIRROR subscription.
