Experience 3-hour American BBQ masterclass and brewery tour at Pirate Life

Hosted by RG’s, Pirate Life & Low n Slow Basics, learn the art of American BBQ on Tuesday 28 June and get a tour of the Pirate Life Brewery.

If you love American BBQ and Pirate Life brews, here’s your chance to consume your weight in brisket and learn how to make it too.

Hosted by RG’s, Pirate Life & Low n Slow Basics, enjoy a 3-hour masterclass where you’ll learn the art of American BBQ and also get a tour of the Pirate Life Brewery.

The founder of Low n Slow Basics, Aaron Palmer, will be leading the masterclass alongside Rik Carr, the owner of Rik’s Grill.

“For this masterclass, it’s going to be a hands-on experience. We’ll go through the whole BBQ process from start to finish, and people will get any BBQ questions off their chest, said Aaron.

“We’ll even go through fire management set up, cooking temperatures, and how to get a fill of timing for BBQ – not everything is just about cooking to temperature.

“To finish the night, there’s going to be a massive American style BBQ platter, featuring pulled pork nachos, brisket, ribs, jalapenos, a pig’s head, corn bread, pickled red onion, everything you could imagine!”

Aaron, a qualified butcher, is a BBQ Master and produces Australia’s largest dedicated BBQ YouTube channel. This will be the third time Aaron has collaborated with Rik for one of these epic masterclasses.

“Rik has been involved in Adelaide’s BBQ scene since the very beginning, having used to own his own BBQ restaurant,” said Aaron.

“When covid hit, he closed his restaurant and started to go out in a food truck. He’s got a three tonne trailer smoker, so it’s a big head-turner. He also got into BBQ boxes, selling smoked meats and treats. He’s one of the OG BBQers and butchers in SA.”

Be sure to wear your stretchy pants because you certainly won’t be hungry at the end of this.

The event is capped at 40 people, so be sure to get your tickets quick to avoid disappointment.

“It’s going to be an epic night of beer, BBQ and good times. Anyone who knows BBQ knows how good this food is. You’re in for an epic night!” Aaron said.

With each ticket sold, participants will also get a FREE ticket to the Sunday session at the Beer & BBQ Fest! Returning in all its glory from July 15– 17, the Beer and BBQ Festival boasts the fattest BBQ line-up ever, including thousands of beers, not-beers, ciders, seltzers, wines and other distilled libations.
