It’s time to say goodbye to a beloved cellar door.

After many years in the Adelaide Hills, O’Leary Walker has announced they will be closing their cellar door in the historic Johnstone Brewery in Oakbank.

They will be permanently shutting up shop on Thursday 25 March and pivoting their efforts to their Clare Valley location.

In a Facebook post, the winery said due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, they have decided to consolidate their efforts into the one cellar door.

“We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our supporters over the past few years – from the locals who dropped by every weekend for a glass, to our suppliers, customers and of course our wonderful staff for their hard work, enthusiasm and passion for everything O’Leary Walker,” they wrote.

This is surely a blow for Adelaide Hills goers, but don’t worry because they will still produce quality Hills wine from their vineyard. You can still find O’Leary Walker wines from Adelaide Hills at local bottleshops.

The owners also passed on their congratulations and well wishes to Peter and Jane Rowat, who have recently purchased the historic Johnston Brewery.

You will still be able to find O’leary Walker in the Clare Valley at 7093 Horrocks Highway, Leasingham, Clare.
