One of Australia’s favourite American comedians Arj Barker has returned to the Adelaide Fringe with a new show, Go Time.

According to Arj, ‘Go Time’ is all about both “what audiences expect from me, AND the last thing they expect from me, which if my calculations are correct, will make for a great show.”

And I definitely agree.

Potentially inspired by Flight of the Conchords, Arj opens the show with a song and a bit of a dance which is hilariously awkward.

What I like about Arj Barker is his ‘observational comedy’. He manages to find the humour in every day activites which makes it very relatable.

His stand up is rather insightful without getting too deep.

Having spent a lot of time in Australia he has some hilarious observations of Australians and perhaps understands us better than we understand ourselves!

Ar Barker is performing Go Time at the Arts Theatre until March 16th.
