Get fresh Eyre Peninsula oysters from this pop-up store this week only!

Gazander Oysters are bringing its award-winning oysters to Adelaide for one weekend only this July with three sites over one weekend!

If you love fresh oysters but don’t have the time or resources to get down to Port Lincoln (because we all know the best seafood comes from the Eyre Peninsula) then don’t stress because the oysters are coming to you!

Thanks to Little Douglas-based business, Gazander Oysters, you will be able to buy the freshest oysters money can buy from one of three pop-up shops around Adelaide for one weekend only.

“Essentially, we are the growers bringing oysters direct to consumers to eat at home,” says owner and operator Carly Thomson.

After a huge response to last year’s pop-up, the family-owned company decided to bring their famed oysters back to the big smoke once again. Carly and her family started bringing their award-winning oysters to Adelaide in 2020 when the pandemic caused a business shift.

“When the COVID-19 shutdown happened, we had a farm full of oysters and nowhere to sell them,” Carly says.

“We quickly organised an online store and went to Adelaide. It was more successful than we could have imagined.”

Now, the company is back in Adelaide with their click-to-collect pop-up model, and Carly says it’s a great time to buy and consume oysters.

“The season is just starting now, so the oysters are in good condition,” she says. “And they’ll just continue to get better and better as it gets colder and colder.”

Gazander Oysters pride themselves on providing the highest quality oysters growm in the waters of Coffin Bay and Little Douglas Bay with the cold water ensuring the oysters are grown and nurtured in the purest of environments.

The pop-up shops will be located in South Brighton on Thursday, March 18th, and Kensington Park and Birkenhead on Friday, March 19th.

Prices start from $15 for a dozen, with the more you buy the cheaper they get. Purchasing more than 20 dozen and the Pacific oysters will cost you just $12 per dozen.

Buyers are encouraged to place orders online and collect at the pop-up, but they’re also welcome to purchase at the pop-up. The oysters come unshucked, and Gazander also sells shuckers, trays, and various merchandise.
