Revealed at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Wednesday night, the inaugural MICHELIN Guide South Australia made the state the first in Australia to feature in the famous red guide. And we want to know which South Australian restaurants you’ve been to, and whether your score out of 77 beats your friends’.
Magill Estate Restaurant led the list with two MICHELIN Stars, while 10 restaurants earned one Star, from Restaurant Botanic in the city to Hentley Farm in the Barossa and Maxwell Restaurant in McLaren Vale.
Another 16 were awarded a Bib Gourmand, the guide’s nod to quality food at good value, including local favourites Africola, Golden Boy and Parwana Afghan Kitchen.
And 50 more made the MICHELIN Selected list, from city favourites such as Chianti and Shobosho to regional dining rooms including Coriole Vineyards in McLaren Vale and Hardy’s Verandah in the Adelaide Hills.
So whether you’ve worked your way through the tasting menus or only ticked off a Bib Gourmand or two, the checklist below has all 77 in one place.
Tick off every restaurant you’ve dined at and the counter keeps score as you go.
Add your first name to make it yours, then share your checklist to your Stories and challenge your friends to beat it.
For those who like pen and paper, the PDF prints all 77 on a single A4 page, with empty boxes left for the restaurants still on the list.
Your ticks are saved on your own device only, so you can come back and add more after your next booking.
