Salisbury Downs is set to welcome a major new fitness offering this spring, with Ryderwear Gym preparing to open a new 24-hour venue opposite Hollywood Plaza.
The Hollywood gym is one of two new Ryderwear venues opening across Adelaide’s northern suburbs in spring 2026. A separate gym is also taking shape at Brahma Lodge, where the former Lodge Fitness site is being transformed into Ryderwear’s flagship and biggest facility in the country.
Once both venues open, Ryderwear Gym will operate three northern-suburbs locations, including its existing Munno Para club.
Ryderwear Gym Hollywood will offer 24-hour access, a full training floor and the specialist equipment that has helped the brand attract serious strength-training enthusiasts from across Adelaide.
The Brahma Lodge venue will open separately at 1591 Main North Road, Salisbury East, on the site of the former Lodge Fitness.
The location carries particular significance for Ryderwear founder David Lukic, who trained at Lodge Fitness while building the company from his grandmother’s garage nearby. Lodge Fitness was also the first gym to stock Ryderwear products.
“I trained on this floor before Ryderwear existed,” David shared.
“When the old Lodge site came up, there was never a question. Some buildings you don’t let go of.”
Ryderwear isn’t the only gym stepping it up in the Adelaide scene, with several franchises expanding and new offerings popping up.
This includes Revo Fitness which announced six more South Australian locations after opening several venues earlier this year. New clubs are planned for Golden Grove, Elizabeth, Trinity Gardens, Marleston, Mount Barker and Port Adelaide.
A whole new fitness offering was announced in early June, with two Level Eleven fitness hubs bringing much more than a spot to train, with saunas, yoga, magnesium pools and recovery rooms for an all-in-one destination.
Derrimut 24:7 is also expanding its South Australian footprint, with new gyms planned for Elizabeth and Mawson Lakes.
Its Elizabeth South venue is being promoted as Australia’s biggest gym, with more than 9500sqm of space bringing together traditional strength and cardio equipment, HYROX training, group fitness, Pilates, hot mat yoga and a dedicated wellness centre.
Derrimut has also confirmed that preparations for its Mawson Lakes location are well advanced, although further details are yet to be announced.
With so many new gyms preparing to open throughout the rest of the year, Adelaide residents will have no shortage of new places to train.
