The City of Onkaparinga is set to feature in a brand-new edition of one of the world’s most iconic board games, Monopoly.
Known for its stunning coastline, award-winning McLaren Vale wine region, bright communities and natural beauty, Onkaparinga is one of South Australia’s most diverse destinations, and now the search is on for the places, attractions and landmarks that truly capture the spirit of the region, with locals invited to help shape the upcoming MONOPOLY: Onkaparinga Edition, set to launch in 2027.
The team behind the custom edition is calling on locals to share their favourite places and hidden treasures by submitting suggestions via email to Winning Moves.
There’s plenty of potential for iconic local destinations to feature on the board, with places like Port Noarlunga Jetty, McLaren Vale, Moana Beach and Old Noarlunga all in the running to become some of the most sought-after squares in the game.
Whether it’s a favourite lookout, a much-loved local business or a lesser-known spot that deserves more recognition, residents are encouraged to help create a board that reflects the heart of the community.

First launched in 1935, Monopoly has become one of the world’s most recognisable board games, enjoyed by more than one billion people globally. The Onkaparinga edition will offer locals and visitors a new way to celebrate the region’s attractions and stories while showcasing what makes it such a special part of South Australia.
MONOPOLY: Onkaparinga Edition will be available from leading toy retailers in 2027.
