SeaLink Working To Transport Kangaroo Island Evacuees To The Mainland

200-300 people are on the Island who are currently in the relief centre at Kingscote and require immediate passage.

SeaLink has announced its commitment to the safety of Kangaroo Island residents and visitors.

The company is working with the CFS, SAPOL, emergency services and community groups in response to the current bushfires on Kangaroo Island.

In the announcement, SeaLink states that non-essential travel to Kangaroo Island should be deferred. Anyone with an existing ticket can access a full refund and can call 13 13 01 after 8am.

200-300 people are on the Island who are currently in the relief centre at Kingscote and require immediate passage. SeaLink is working with authorities as a priority to transport these people to the mainland via ferry and coach services.

Anyone requiring assistance should go to the relief centre at Kingscote Football Club, Centenary Avenue, Kingscote. Maximum ferry services will run on Saturday 4 January.
