One of Australia’s most exclusive luxury retreats, Kingsford The Barossa, has undergone a multi-million dollar upgrade, completing a significant expansion to the property.

Nestled amongst in 225 acres of rolling hills, gum trees and riverbanks, and having previously been used as the set of McLeod’s Daughters, Kingsford The Barossa dates back to 1856 and sits on the edge of the world-renowned Barossa valley wine region, just 45 minutes drive from Adelaide city.

Formerly Kingsford Homestead, the incredible expansion has added four east-facing View Suites, where guests will enjoy panoramic, uninterrupted views of the local native landscape from the comfort of their bed, lounge or private courtyard.

Guaranteeing the ultimate secluded getaway, the only other people you’ll run into are the families of kangaroos that call the surrounding acreage home. In-house guests can even book a romantic Bush Bath experience, where they are taken on a scenic mule tour, complete with picnic hamper, binoculars, champagne and bath robes. Guests will be dropped off at a completely private bathing deck where a luxurious bathtub awaits complete with cushions, chairs and table amongst the native fauna and wildlife.

Also boasting a fine-dining experience at the Orleana restaurant where guests will be able to sample the best seasonal Barossa produce, a salt water pool, pamper sessions at the in-house spa and a roaring fireplace in the exquisite Peppertree Bar, Kingsford The Barossa has everything you need for a luxury staycation to this stunning region of SA.

The exclusive nature of the resort means that privacy for guests is guaranteed, with 16 suites that can sleep up to 32 people.

Following its incredible upgrade, Kingsford The Barossa is yet to reopen to the public but is currently taking group bookings of three rooms or more, as well as event bookings and wedding bookings from the 26th of June. Individual leisure booking will be available from the 1st August, with a two night minimum stay required.
