St Hugo’s new luxury offering will take you on a personalised vault experience. Immerse yourself in the world of wine as their experts take you on a journey through the latest flagship vintage, Vetus Purum 2015 alongside a selection of the back-vintage portfolio.

As the holiday season draws near, St Hugo, a name synonymous with luxury in the world of wines, has announced an exclusive experience that promises to elevate Christmas celebrations to new heights of elegance and sophistication. The renowned winery is offering a unique opportunity to indulge in its latest offerings at its cellar door.

The centerpiece of this festive offering is the St Hugo Vault Experience, a personalized journey through the world of fine wines, tailored specifically for each group. This experience is not just a tasting; it’s an immersive exploration into the art of winemaking. Participants will be introduced to St Hugo’s latest flagship vintage, the Vetus Purum 2015, a wine that exemplifies the brand’s signature blend of power and elegance. This journey also includes a curated selection from St Hugo’s back-vintage portfolio, offering a rare glimpse into the winery’s storied history.

Located in the heart of Australia’s premier wine region, the St Hugo Vault Experience is priced at $70 per person, and is designed to add a touch of sophistication to your holiday festivities. Reservations can be made through St Hugo’s website.

During the 45-minute session, available from Friday to Monday at 10.30am, guests will be guided by a personal wine expert through the nuances of the 2015 Vetus Purum Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside other exceptional wines from St Hugo’s portfolio, including the 2013 Vetus Purum. This intimate experience takes place in the private St Hugo vault, an exclusive space accessible only to those who book this tasting.

To enhance the tasting experience, guests have the option to add a sumptuous St Hugo Cheese-Platter for Two at an additional cost of $40.

This year is particularly special for St Hugo, as it marks 40 years since the release of their first wine. Celebrating this milestone, St Hugo has launched its latest collection, headlined by the 2015 Vetus Purum, a wine that epitomizes the brand’s commitment to excellence. “2023 marks 40 years since we started crafting wines, and it all started with a Coonawarra Cabernet. Vetus Purum is our tribute to these beginnings and the 2015 vintage is truly exceptional,” says Chief Winemaker Peter Munro.

“This wine comes off our best vineyard in Coonawarra, arguably one of the best in the region,”
Peter continued.

“The team and I taste the fruit, row by row, striving to unveil the optimum harvest time for each
section of the vineyard, when the varietal characters are at their most intense and pure, with
tannins that have ripened to perfection. During the blending process we individually taste every
barrel for absolute quality then we make a deliberate and considered decision to choose only a
select few barrels, typically less than 1% of our harvest, that meld together synergistically and
seamlessly resulting in the pinnacle of quality that Vetus Purum represents. Then we only make
Vetus Purum in the best vintages, making this not the best wine of every vintage but the best
wine from the best vintages.”

St Hugo, named in honour of Hugo Gramp, a former Managing Director of G. Gramp & Sons, has established itself as one of Australia’s most prestigious wine labels. With over 1000 wine show awards, including more than 30 trophies, St Hugo’s reputation for producing red wines of unparalleled quality and style, particularly its Cabernet Sauvignon, is undisputed.

Please note that participants must be 18 years or older to partake in the St Hugo Vault experience.
