Rocket Bar and Rooftop

Sugar

Sugar has been a staple of Adelaide’s nightlife scene for ages and is affectionately referred to as an ‘institution.’ Recently, the Gonzo Group, the masterminds behind Shotgun Willie’s and Cry Baby, have taken charge. The venue features a range of entertainment from cabaret to comedy (especially during Fringe season), and is a popular spot for both local and international DJs. Shotgun Willie’s

Shotgun Willie’s is Adelaide City’s spot for American and country vibes. If you head here, you can expect to hear songs like “Take Me Home, Country Roads”, “Chicken Fried” and “You’re So Vain”, along with hits from Carrie Underwood, to OG Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Dolly Parton. With a ginormous American flag draped across the ceiling, it truly feels like you’ve stepped into a bar in Texas and not in Adelaide.
