The Botanic Gardens Restaurant Adelaide, which is managed by Blanco Food & Events, has been announced as the winner of Best Product or Service at the Australian Event Awards.
The win for Botanic Gardens Restaurant, places it and South Australia at the forefront of the Australian events industry. South Australia also won the 2016 State or Territory Award. This award recognises and celebrates the State or Territory where the largest number of high quality events have occurred (we already had a feeling we were better than everyone else).
The Australian Event Awards is the pinnacle awards program for the events industry in Australia. The awards program is open to all members of the Australian events community and all entries are judged and awards conferred by the members of the Independent Industry Judging Panel.
Co-chair of the independent industry judging panel which selects the winners, Sandy Hollway, former CEO of the 2000 Olympic Games, said: “The strength of all entries in their year’s Event Awards is a testament to the Winners announced last night. Winners this year have shown an impressive ability to bring creative, engaging concepts to life, and to surmount constraints and obstacles to deliver incredible experiences to attendees at a vast array of public and private events both in Australia and overseas.”
“After all the planning and logistics that went into this Tasting Australia event and the collaboration between Paul Baker and Anthony Myint, The Perennial in San Francisco, to be recognised for our efforts is a true honour. It’s a testament to our head chef, Paul Baker and the whole team at Botanic Gardens Restaurant. We are proud to provide our customers with amazing food and service, and deliver unique events” said Steve Blanco, Managing Director, Blanco Food and Events.
Hidden away within the tranquil surroundings of the Botanic Gardens Adelaide, the Botanic Gardens Restaurant offers spectacular 180 degree views of the stunning lush greenery. Conveniently located in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD, it’s a relaxing escape from the day-today hustle and bustle.
Acclaimed head chef Paul Baker’s menu is modern Australian, featuring ethically farmed South Australian produce, fresh vegetables and herbs harvested daily from the nearby Botanic Gardens kitchen garden, he has made a clear effort to minimise food miles travelled in that true “garden to plate” philosophy.
It’s definitely a destination worth investing time towards. For more information, to see their menu, or to make a booking, visit www.botanicgardensrestaurant.com.au
