The award-winning Prohibition Liquor Co. has again joined forces with Adelaide Festival, to create the limited edition 2025 Adelaide Festival Gin. This is the second release in a trilogy of gins celebrating a combination of native botanicals and the state’s vibrant arts scene.
The 2025 Adelaide Festival Gin is a bold and vibrant ode to South Australia. With its unique botanical profile and connection to the arts, every sip tells a story of summer evenings, creative passion, and the natural beauty of the region.
“This year’s Adelaide Festival Gin is lush, generous, and lively—reminiscent of summer-fruit sorbet, honeysuckle, and crisp pear,” said Prohibition Liquor Co.’s Head Distiller Hugh Lumsden.
“It’s perfect for pairing with a cheeseboard on a sunny afternoon or enjoying at one of the festival’s iconic shows. Serve it as a G&T, garnished with fresh strawberries, for a truly festive experience.”

The botanical lineup is nothing short of spectacular, featuring a blend of juniper, strawberry, white kunzea, macadamia, Kakadu plum, cara cara orange, galangal, emu bush, pink pepper, coriander seed, and lilly pilly—a true nod to South Australia’s diverse landscapes.
Adelaide Festival Artistic Director Brett Sheehy AO remarked, “I’m thrilled that Prohibition Gin has joined us once again as a partner for the Adelaide Festival. Coming back to Adelaide after leaving in 2008, I realise there was only one thing missing the first time around – a delicious Prohibition Gin to enjoy.

2025 is set to be an especially big year for Prohibition, marking the distillery’s 10th anniversary. Over the years Prohibition has gone on to see huge success, with multiple national and international gin awards.
“2024 was an outstanding year for our brand, with international and national awards for our premium gins, including Best Gin three years in a row, Best in Class for Moonlight, and Trophies for Navy Strength Juniperus,” shared Prohibition Founder Adam Carpenter.
