Qantas is about to change the way travellers experience Adelaide Airport with a brand-new Domestic Business Lounge and full upgrades to the existing Qantas Club and the ultra-private Chairman’s Lounge.
Drawing inspiration from the rugged beauty of Kangaroo Island’s Flinders Chase National Park, the new lounge design is a celebration of South Australia in every detail.
Warm natural tones, locally made furniture, and bespoke lighting will feature throughout, alongside artwork created by First Nations artists and design elements curated in collaboration with the JamFactory.
“Our local design philosophy means the new Adelaide Lounge Precinct will celebrate the best of South Australia,” Qantas Executive Manager for Product and Service, Phil Capps, said
“From the furnishing and artworks through to the premium food and beverages we want to give our customers a taste of South Australia every time they fly with us.”

It’s a look and feel that’s distinctly South Australian, brought together in a space that blends style with comfort.
This isn’t just a facelift. The airline is creating something that speaks to place and purpose. While the overall lounge footprint will remain the same, clever redesigns of underused corners will create 10 per cent more seating, and nearly every seat will have access to power so guests can stay connected on the go.
This is Adelaide’s first-ever Domestic Business Lounge, planned to open on 16 May.
“Adelaide Airport is delighted to welcome the launch of Qantas’s new premium lounge facilities,” said Executive GM Corporate & Legal Counsel, Alicia Bickmore.
“The opening of the new Qantas Business Lounge this month will be a great addition to the lounge precinct. The timely investment by Qantas in its new Qantas Club and Business Lounge will meet growing demand from our customers for premium travel experiences.”

It’s a major step forward for local business and Platinum-grade travellers, who will finally have a space that reflects the level of service they’ve come to expect in larger capital cities.
From the furnishings and artworks to the local outstanding food and beverages, all visitors will get a true taste of South Australia every time they fly with Qantas.
This major upgrade is part of Qantas’ $100 million investment into lounges across the globe. But for Adelaide, it’s personal. It’s about offering travellers a sophisticated, thoughtful space that feels grounded in South Australian identity.
“Adelaide Airport is similarly embarking on major infrastructure investment with planned upgrades and expansion of check-in and gate facilities as well as new passenger and baggage screening facilities,” Alicia added.
