After a great run in Glenelg, Saigon Times has spread its wings and flown to Henley Beach, expanding it’s authentic Vietnamese offering.
The venue has moved into a small spot along Seaview Road, perfect for those strolling past, catching up with friends or just needing that quick lunch pick me up.
The venue is the product of hard work and late nights from Winnie and Leo, who are keen to become part of another community and share their passion.
“Saigon Times was inspired by our love for Vietnamese food and the joy that comes from sharing a meal with family and friends,” Winnie told Glam before opening.
“After seeing how much our Glenelg community embraced and supported us, we wanted to create another space where people could enjoy authentic flavours, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere, this time in Henley Beach.”

The spot is tucked away along the busy main strip, and the menu features all the Vietnamese classics we love to see spread across the menu.
As the colder winter days are upon us, the warm noodle bowls, laksa, wonton soup, fried rice and curry bowls are your best bet to warm up. If you’re craving a great roll, there’s chicken, tofu, and best of all crackling pork.
Leo is the brains behind the food, with his love of cooking, he creates dishes that are made to be enjoyed slowly but we wouldn’t blame anyone for devouring it within minutes.
Chef’s specials include sizzling garlic prawn, lemongrass chicken, beef salad and a saigon signature curry.
“Whether you’re after something hearty, fresh, or quick and easy, there’s something for everyone,” Winnie said.
On opening day Winnie told us that operations have been moving steadily, but with the wet weather was a little tricky to work around. Despite this, and due to their Glenelg popularity, their loyal fans had ducked in throughout the day.
“We’ve already had a few regulars come out and support us,” Winnie said.
Whether the rain has eased up or not, Saigon Times is full steam ahead in Henley Beach Square.
