Get ready for two big days of free, family-friendly Fringe fun as the Salisbury Fringe Carnival returns to Carisbrooke Park on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 February 2026. Now in its thirteenth year, the much-loved community carnival is set to draw more than 15,000 people across the weekend, bringing rides, live music and Fringe performances right to the heart of Salisbury.

Running Friday night from 6pm to 9.30pm and all day Saturday from 12pm to 9.30pm, the event delivers a packed program of entertainment that’s completely free to enjoy. With free entry, free rides and free on-site parking, it’s an easy, affordable way for families, friends and neighbours to soak up the colour and creativity of Fringe close to home.

Saturday night’s headline entertainment comes courtesy of crowd favourite Mr Buzzy, bringing high-energy performances and a hit-filled setlist spanning Queen, ABBA, Grease, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars. Across both days, live performances will keep the atmosphere buzzing, with fire twirlers, jugglers, stunt acts and roving performers popping up throughout the park.

A major highlight again this year is The Little Palais circus tent, offering a rotating lineup of free Fringe-style shows designed to make audiences laugh, clap and gasp in awe. With local and visiting performers taking to the stage throughout the weekend, it’s a perfect way to experience Fringe magic in an intimate, family-friendly setting.

There’s no shortage of action for kids and thrill seekers alike, with free rides ranging from gentle options for little ones through to adrenaline-pumping favourites. The epic three-lane Super Slide stretches an impressive 35 metres long — almost the length of a Boeing 737 — and is guaranteed to spark a bit of friendly competition. Families will also find a dedicated kids’ zone, inflatable carnival games, mini golf and interactive activities.

Accessibility and inclusion remain a key focus, with a silent disco featuring sensory vests and a quiet sensory space available for anyone needing a break from the crowds. On Saturday, Salisbury Business Association activities add even more to the mix, including Touch-a-Truck experiences, glitter tattoos, big bubbles and colouring stations.

Food and drink options are plentiful, with local vendors serving everything from pizza, yiros, dumplings and baked potatoes to classic carnival treats like fairy floss, dagwood dogs, donuts and ice cream. A licensed bar area will be operating for adults, while picnic blankets and chairs are welcome for those wanting to make a full day of it.

City of Salisbury Mayor Gillian Aldridge said the event continues to be a standout on the local calendar. “Each year, thousands of people come together to enjoy this incredible community event. It’s a wonderful way to experience the excitement of the Adelaide Fringe right here in Salisbury – and best of all, it’s free for everyone.”
