Gelato Bello is winding the clock back to 1996 this weekend, with $3 scoops going to the first 100 people through the door each day at its flagship Glynde store.

The gelato brand turns 30 this year, and it’s holding a two-day anniversary weekend on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11 to mark it.

The Glynburn Road store will stay open late for it, running from 1pm to 11pm on both days.

If you miss out on the 1996 pricing, there’s still 30 per cent off all gelato across the weekend.

Four iconic flavours are coming back for the occasion too: Golden Gaytime, Banana Cream Pie, Cherry Ripe and Lemon Meringue Pie.

Gelato Bello has been serving authentic Sicilian-style gelato since 1996, which makes it one of the oldest gelato brands in Adelaide. The Glynde shop is its flagship store.

Staff will work in the brand’s original uniforms over the two days, and there will be vintage branded merchandise to buy.

Vintage Gelato Bello displays and memorabilia will also be set up around the store.

Doors open at 1pm each day, with the $3 scoops going to the first 100 customers.
