NOW OPEN: Davaar House of Wellness launches state-of-the-art sanctuary in heritage mansion

A new wellness hub called Davaar House of Wellness has launched in Adelaide’s CBD with ground breaking treatment facilities, some of which are the first of their kind in Australia.

Davaar House of Wellness, a state-of-the-art wellness hub, has opened in Adelaide’s CBD. It’s home to a large variety of ground breaking treatment facilities, some of which are the first of their kind in Australia.

From the moment you enter Davaar House of Wellness, you are welcomed by a warm atmosphere, gorgeous heritage detailing and abundant natural light; something very different from when Fiona Fiorinotto, Davaar’s owner and co-founder, bought the property back in 2021.

Originally built in 1876 for a prominent Adelaide wine and spirit merchant, the Davaar house has lived many lives over the years. You’ll still find original fireplaces and restored heritage detailing throughout, as well as a new front porch to be as close to the original as possible.

Paying homage to its original name – today Davaar House of Wellness is a place of rest and rejuvenation, breathing new life into this stunning 1800’s building.

Located on the corner of Hutt Street and South Terrace, the tranquil space sets the tone for you to relax and settle into your chosen treatment – whether that’s massage, facials, pilates, yoga, red light therapy, salt therapy, saunas or any of the other treatment offerings available.

Davaar House even has Adelaide’s first RollStar and ActivBed (private pilates pod). Owner and co-founder Fiona believes our mental health is just as important as our physical health. In fact, the two are interconnected. When we neglect our mental health, it can have a negative impact on our physical health and vice versa.

Taking care of our mental health can help us to manage stress, improve our relationships, and increase our overall sense of well-being.

The inspiration for Davaar House of Wellness was spurred when founders Fiona and Oscar lost a close friend to suicide. Having worked in Remedial Massage Therapy for over 10 years, along with studying mental, emotional and spiritual awareness, this event reminded Fiona of how precious our mental health, and overall well-being is; what lies behind a smile can be tremendous pain.

This experience inspired Fiona to create a safe haven, where people can prioritise their own well-being and practice self-care, in whatever form works best for them.

Along with treatments and classes available to book for the body, mind and soul, Davaar House is also home to a beautiful cafe space. Open to everyone, whether you’re booked for a treatment, having a quiet coffee, or just catching up with a friend; it’s inside you’ll find barista made coffee, fresh juices, smoothies and delicious, wholesome bites.
