It was nearly 40 years ago when Chocolate Starfish (aka The Fish) came thundering onto the music scene, known for their hit cover of You’re so Vain by Carly Simon and band original Mountain.
The Fish haven’t lost their flavour for the stage all these years later, and continue touring around Australia. This year, Adelaide is in luck for a head-banging, hip shaking show at the Woodville Town Hall this November.
The current band member lineup includes five core players. There’s singer Adam Thompson, John Nixon on the bass, drummer Darren Danielson, Norm Falvo on the keyboard, and guitarist Zakk Zedras.
The band will be making their appearance with their All Fired Up tour, which explores their explosive launch into the Australian music scene with their cheeky cover of You’re So Vain and fiery rendition of What’s UP by 4 Non Blondes.
The hits will roll in all night for the all ages event, with a specially curated list of classics and all by extraordinary women.
“This is going to be so much fun,” said Adam Thompson.
Chocolate Starfish’s website dubs the band as one of ‘Australia’s best live bands of the 90s, boasting two Top 10 albums and six Top 50 singles.’
“Fans will love our take on Cher’s Believe and Sophie Ellis-Bexter’s Murder on the Dancefloor,” Adam said.
“I can’t divulge the other songs and spoil the surprises – so you’ll just have to join us for the fun.”

The Fish are renowned for making the audience are centre stage of the performance not just the band members, and this concert at the Woodville Town Hall is set to be no different.
The historic venue is a versatile spot for functions, events, cabaret and community events and features 100-year-old chandeliers which hang from high ceilings, a glamorous and high end production facilities.
The Fish are ready to get all fired up this November in an iconic inner north west venue, so don’t miss out.
