Australia’s leading nature play authority, South Australian based Nature Play SA is turning the notion of school holiday activities on its head with the return of its immensely popular #ItsBetterOutside program.
To excite families these school holidays NPSA has launched a new series of spring lists including Adelaide’s best bike riding trails, SA’s top picnic spots, bush walks for families and the most exciting adventure and nature playgrounds across the state.
The last school holidays saw SA families flock to the Nature Play SA’s top picks on waterfalls, creeks, forests and playgrounds. We are bound to see even more families getting nature time these spring school holidays.
Nature Play SA CEO, Sarah Sutter said: “we know our lists and other free resource are well used and loved by the SA community as we reached a staggering 660,000 people via our social media channels with 21,000 hits on our website.
“The upshot, we had more families outside, engaging in nature than ever before.”
It is a frightening reality that children are less physically active than ever.
Only one in four children meet Australia’s Physical Activity guidelines, but the school holidays beginning this weekend and Nature Play SA is showing children and families that #ItsBetterOutside.

Nature Play SA is a South Australian, not for profit organisation charged with encouraging children and families to get together and head out into nature. Nature Play SA began the #ItsBetterOutside campaign to inspire South Australians to experience the great outdoors with their families.
