Maybe Mae, Memphis Slim’s & more team up for Adelaide Cocktail Month event

Celebrate all things cocktails and get prepared to immerse yourself in this celebration from 1 – 31 May with the launch of Australian Cocktail Month.

Cocktail lovers, this is your month!

Celebrate all things cocktails and get prepared to immerse yourself in this celebration from 1 – 31 May with the launch of Australian Cocktail Month. Yes, you heard that right. The whole month indeed!

Held across various cities in Australia like Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, Australian Cocktail Month is set to partner with some of the best local and international alcohol brands to champion the country’s bar industry.

Consumers will unlock unique bar experiences, escape the day to day and enjoy delicious cocktails with the Australian Cocktail Month ticket.

The $20 ticket, which is now available online HERE, allows guests to access a special menu of cocktails created exclusively for this special month. The menu will be available at participating venues, with cocktails priced at just $14, and non-alcoholic options at $10. A pretty great deal, isn’t it?

Founded by influential industry figure Penny Sippe, Australian Cocktail Month will feature local brands including Adelaide Hills Distillery’s 78˚ Better Gin and 78˚ Australian Vodka, Never Never’s Triple Juniper and Southern Strength Gins, along with Needle & Pin’s ‘Off Kilter’ Charcoal Vodka and Seville Orange Gin, and a range of international brands including Herradura Tequila, Monkey Shoulder Whisky, Plantation Rum, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, and Chase Vodka.

Eighteen venues have been hand-picked across Adelaide to take part in this exciting inaugural event, including Maybe Mae, Hains & Co, Memphis Slim’s and Alfred’s Bar.

Australian bartenders will literally be mixing these spirits with the best – Muyu liqueurs by Alex Kratena, Monica Berg and Simone Caporale, Tia Maria, and Villa Massa Limoncello, and the highly prized Fever-Tree mixers round out the products bartenders will be using to craft their cocktails.

The Australian Cocktail Month has got something for everyone. Keeping in mind that the desire for low or no alcohol options is continuing to grow, Australian Cocktail Month has partnered with Lyre’s and their exquisite range of lovingly crafted non-alcoholic spirits, allowing guests to devour without compromising on what makes Australian bars great: the cocktail experience (and loads of flavour).

“I am excited to launch Australian Cocktail Month and give Adelaide the chance to try amazing cocktails created by some of the city’s best bars. I’m also proud to provide assistance to the industry as they rebuild following the pandemic,” said Sippe.

The concept of the Australian Cocktail Month has been received enthusiastically by bartenders and bars across the country. “Australian Cocktail Month celebrates the best in Australia in every sense of the word, wonderful locally produced spirits supporting our local distilleries, beautiful hospitality from our leading bars creating delicious bespoke cocktails. Australian Cocktail Month… yes please!” said Marcus Motteram, owner of Hains & Co.

A ticket to the Australian Cocktail Month event can be used at any participating venue throughout May, and is available for purchase HERE.
