FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia New Zealand has named the cities that will be hosting the championship matches and Adelaide will feature.
Set to take place in 2023, the host cities named include Adelaide, Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau, Brisbane, Dunedin/Ōtepoti, Hamilton/Kirikiriroa, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, and Wellington/Te Whanganui-a-Tara.
Kicking off at Eden Park in Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau, the opening match venue, with the grand finale will take place at Stadium Australia in Sydney.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino made the announcement today stating that “everyone will be a part of the best ever Women’s World Cup.”
