Golding Wines Unveils Stellar Dining Experience With NEW Restaurant Ginkgo

Gingko’s strong focus on using locally sourced ingredients, South-African born head chef, De Buys Nortier, has crafted a delicious ever-changing menu to reflect the season’s finest produce.

With restrictions slowly becoming a thing of the past and life returning to a new normal, we can now escape our homes and enjoy what many of us love most – indulging in food and wine.

Much to our delight, those at Golding Wines in the picturesque Adelaide Hills have provided a brand-new dining experience for its guests with the opening of their Ginkgo Restaurant.

Located in their stunning family-built sandstone barn which has been home to many things including a farm shed and vineyard workshop, Ginkgo offers a new style of menu that will definitely hit the long-awaited spot in our stomachs.

With a strong focus on using locally sourced ingredients, South-African born head chef, De Buys Nortier, has crafted a delicious ever-changing menu to reflect the season’s finest produce.

Comprising a mix of mouth-watering flavour combinations, Ginkgo is currently offering two set menus to choose from, with bookings available in two sittings (early or late) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as on public holidays.

The first is the ‘Seasonal Plates’ menu which acts as a more sophisticated, fine-dining experience of the two options and is designed to take you on a tasting journey of South Australia, showcasing the very best produce the state has to offer.

Either a three ($55pp) or four ($65pp) course meal is on offer and includes dishes such as smoked duck breast served with a duck leg croquette, orange pickled kohlrabi and duck jus, and lemongrass and tamarind beef rib with rainbow baby carrots, shallots and polenta (both pictured) as well as many other delicious dishes.

If you’re up for a more relaxed and traditional dining experience, you can choose the ‘Wood-fired’ option which is priced at just $45 per head.

This menu features a selection of antipasti, followed by a choice of delightful wood-oven pizzas including the pumpkin and caramelised onion topped with goats fetta and Napoli sauce, and the Mushroom pizza with swiss brown, shimeji and oyster mushrooms and mozzarella, just to name a few.

The ‘Golding Magnum’ (pictured below) is also available on both set menus and is the perfect way to end a scrumptious meal…we’re drooling just looking at it!

Whether you are longing for an enjoyable day out or simply visiting the region for a wine tasting, enjoy a delectable meal at Ginkgo’s surrounded by the gorgeous trees that bear the same name.

Given the current dining restrictions, bookings are essential. Any bookings can be made via the following link [email protected].
