If you’ve ever wandered down the Marina Pier, chances are you crossed paths with Luciano’s. A venue with a reputation for its modern take on Italian fare with an Osteria twist, paired with elegant interiors and sweeping views of the Glenelg foreshore.
Inspired by Italy’s rich food culture and love of sharing, Luciano’s brings a taste of Capri right to our doorstep.
What’s even better is the venue have just launched a new four course dining experience, which is easy to enjoy and even easier on our wallets, and we’re certainly not complaining about it. The experience, Our Italian Table, is designed for long lunches, cosy dinners and everything in between.
With a seasonal menu built for the cooler months and priced at $49 per person, you may be thinking what’s the catch? Well it’s only for a limited-time, so if you’re looking for a sign to suck down some blue swimmer crabs, this is it.

Our Italian Table starts with a house-made focaccia served with olive oil and balsamic before moving into a entrée that gives the table a cheeky bit of everything. We’ve got the mushroom arancini with truffle aioli and pecorino, a mouth-watering slow cooked pork belly with remoulade and grilled marinated Mediterranean vegetables with crostini and dreamy whipped ricotta.
Next comes our mains, and with five options, we’ll be chewing our fingernails thinking about how to pick.
There’s the linguini granchio with blue swimmer crab, mild chilli, garlic, wine and rosé sauce, a panfried gnocchi with mushrooms, honey, pepitas, ricotta salata and crispy sage, and a slow cooked beef ragu served with house-made pappardelle and pecorino romano.
Those who may be after something lighter can opt for the barramundi fillet with roast fennel, romesco, broccolini and dill oil, while the pan roasted chicken with chermoula spice, quinoa salad, pumpkin, cucumber and white balsamic sesame dressing rounds out the menu.
To finish is all off, and make sure you save room, the dessert leaves us on a high with a chai and orange panna cotta, served with lemon curd and topped with Persian fairy floss.
It’s all set within Luciano’s signature marina venue and with this generous Italian spread, it gives elevated and sophisticated without pushing the budget. Linger a little longer during a weekday lunch or candlelit dinner, no need to wait for a special occasion to get a special treat.
If you’re up for a waterfront meal that feels generous at a fair price throughout the week, it’s pretty safe to say Luciano’s is hitting the bullseye.
