It’s officially silly season, South Australia! What better way to take advantage of the sunshine than heading to one of our stunning wine regions for an epic day of booze and vinyl beats.

Dowie Doole has brought their twilight tasting pod back for the summertime, and this January 8, the McLaren Vale winery is taking its sunset sessions to the next level – hosting Vinyl in the Vines this January.

A vinyl session on a balmy January night amongst the winery’s lush vines is the perfect way to continue the silly season festivities.

Come for the Dowie Doole wine, stay for the tunes – with DJ Es’Ay setting the soundtrack for the evening. Spinning his vinyl collection from 4pm until late, DJ Es’Ay will be playing tracks that will send you straight to the dance floor.

Feeding the hungry crowds will be Braising Boy Tacos – who began slinging their tasty tacos earlier this year. While you’ll have to wait for the January afternoon to find out the menu, crowd favourites of Braising Boy include their Birra braised beef and mouth-watering corn ribs.

If wine and tacos aren’t quite your thing – there will be a selection of Vale Ale beers and platter to enjoy as well.

In light of today’s annoucement, the Dowie Doole Vinyl in the Vines session will be a fully-vaccinated event to ensure that guests can get on the dance floor and boogie the night away.

From December 28, South Australia will further ease current restrictions, seeing pubs, wineries and more allow guests to drink fine wine and beers vertically and dance, provided they are a fully vaccinated venue. Guests of the vinyl session will need to be double vaccinated to attend.

Nestled in the heart of McLaren Vale and surrounded by vineyards, the Dowie Doole Tasting Pod offers unparalleled 360-degree views of the region year-round.

Yet as the summer sun begins to set over the Fleurieu Coast, there has never been a better time to watch the sky transform into vibrant shades of orange, pink and purple while enjoying a tipple of the winery’s stunning drops.

Vinyl in the Vines is kicking off January 8, from 4pm until 9pm. Find out more about the event here.
